Education is the key to broad social change.
Family Planning of Clallam County has been a leader in health education to youth and adult community members. Services are not only designed to address short-term needs, but also to encourage informed decision making and to promote healthy practices for life.
It is important for men
and women to be informed and make responsible decisions about sexual health. While the family planning sector has primarily provided services and education to women, reproductive health information and services are equally important for men. Historically, men have made up two to four percent of clients served by Title X family planning clinics annually. Men have a crucial role in the prevention of unintended pregnancy, sexual assault, and the spread of sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
FPCC’s Male Involvement Program features clinical care, community outreach, and educational activities to improve young men's ability to make informed decisions about their reproductive and sexual health and responsibilities.
